Character
Name: Virgil Hawkins
Fandom: Static Shock [DC animated]
Age: 16
Physical description: Looks Cool
Background: General History
Point in Story: The end of the series, after Virgil has gotten his powers back from Big Bang 2.
Personality: Virgil is a fun loving kid with a sarcasm that is all his own. He likes to joke around and goof off as much as possible. He can also be pretty lazy or laid back, depending on how you look at it, as you're more than likely to find him avoiding chores and work. Obviously any one of these things can get him in trouble with the wrong people as he has no trouble smart mouthing people who are bigger than him. It also infuriates his sister to no end but that is mostly out of sibling love. On the flip side though, he DOES piss off a lot of his foes with his words. Virgil, most of the time, just doesn't know when to shut up and stop being sarcastic.
That's not to say he doesn't have his serious side though. He doesn't like seeing people being bullied and certainly dislikes it when the person being bullied can't fight back. He sometimes gets a little arrogant with his abilities, not to mention cocky, but that could probably be said for many teenage boys his age, well, teenage boys with superpowers. Virgil is definitely the type to stand up for the "little guy" though because he's usually one of those guys.
Virgil's weakness is probably his difficulty with trusting people who have betrayed him in someway. He can take things a little personally sometimes and, in cases like that, can not only hold a grudge but also find it hard to forgive. Grudges aside, if you don't mess with Virgil's family or friend's he's usually alright. And yes this includes his sister who, while she gets on his nerves to no end, is STILL his sister. While he can be pretty bad about jumping to conclusions at times and be a bit thick headed he is goodhearted and tries not to judge others too quickly. Well, unless you're from a gang. Virgil has a "no gangs" policy due to the way in which he lost his mother and this influences a lot of who he is.
He is also, surprisingly, very intelligent, he was even accepted into a gifted school at one point where he made his own programs and worked with computers a lot. He's an honor student and has impressed a number of adults with his behavior (since his father pretty much raised him to be respectful to authority figures). Virgil also has an extensive knowledge of comic books thanks to his other hobby of reading them, not to mention a lot of other things under "nerdy subculture" like video games, rpgs, and sci-fi. This very much influences his humor.
Powers/Abilities: Virgil has electromagnetic abilities. This manifests in a number of ways but his main uses for it seem to be in shooting electricity from his fingers, using his "static cling" and magnetism to move objects, flying on his disc (or a trash can lid), manipulate technology and signals such as radio waves, and withstand powerful shocks of electricity. He has shown himself to be resourceful with these abilities and is constantly finding new uses for them.
Sometimes Virgil's electrical abilities will run low on "juice" and when this happens, he has to tap into a nearby electrical source to build up power. It's also been shown that sunspots have an adverse effect on his powers causing them to flux from out of control to practically nonexistent. There is also this tiny problem with water that when he gets soaked he risks being shorted out but this only seems to happen if he gets hit with water while using his abilities.
This is a list of things he has done with his abilities, to name a few:
Amplified Electrical Aura
Electromagnetism
Electromagnetic bolts
Electromagnetic levitation
Static Cling
Taser Punch
Ball Lightning
Nova Burst
Electromagnetic pulse
Enhanced hearing
In addition, he has also been shown to have some resistance to mind control and electrocution.
Wiki's Explanation (just in case the above needs elaborating): "Static's powers center around electromagnetism, making him part of the Earth's electromagnetic field as well as capable of generating and storing his own electromagnetic energy. He can choose to keep the electromagnetic energy that he currently holds in his body by controlling the current and voltage for whenever he wants to use it. Static's body can generate raw electromagnetic energy, which he can control at will for various purposes."
Items you're bringing with you: Virgil very likely had his blue backpack on him which would probably contain some books/paper/pens/etc for class, his Static costume, a few Zap-Caps (tiny "grenades" of electromagnetic power), the collapsible saucer he flies on (not that he can really use it on a ship), his wallet, and keys to his house. Probably only about half those things will be of any use. Then of course there were the clothes on his back he was wearing TO school. Namely a bright orange shirt, pair of jeans, probably a tanktop under the shirt, socks and shoes...oh and underwear (boxers).

First Person POV (Network Post):
You know, it's times like this I really miss Richie. See, if HE were here then I wouldn't be having to spend so long just trying to figure out how to turn this on. I don't think even Wayne Tech has stuff this advance. Then again, I don't think they have a space ship with sleeper pods on it either. Well, they might, but I doubt it.
Okay, Virg, getting off topic here.
So, hey, is there anyone actually piloting this crazy thing? I just sort of...popped out of that pod and I'd really appreciate it if I could find something more to wear. I realize that might not be the most critical thing right now but, come on, a guy can't exactly think about alien abductions or space travel when he's wearing something that BARELY serves it's purpose as clothes.
Just, you know, wondering. Anyone out there? Hello?
Third Person POV (Log Post): Virgil's head was reeling. This was WAY beyond his usual realm of weird, which was saying something considering he was a metahuman and had worked with the Justice League a number of times. Part of him wondered if this was some freaky dream from eating too many nachos from the cafeteria at school, but he knew that wasn't the case. He had been on his way to school, not to mention mind control didn't really work on him. Not to mention he'd already pinched himself several times and the cold air in the room was really starting to get to him.
He couldn't help but shiver, crossing his arms over his chest to try to warm himself, "Okay, get out of the cold now, freak out about the situation later." He started walking down the row of pods, peering at some but he didn't see any names that were familiar to him. That was both a good and bad thing he supposed. He wasn't sure how he would explain why a 16 year old high school kid was on an alien vessel. At least if he was dressed as Static he could maybe come up with something. Virgil paused and looked down at his hospital gown, "Actually, any clothes would be nice right about now."
Okay, surely this ship wasn't completely devoid of clothing. Virgil's face turned to one of determination as she walked out of the cyrochamber and into another room. This one looked like some kind of central hub of the ship. He could tell that they were supposed to be computers but they were WAY more advanced than anything he'd ever seen. Which, was saying something, considering he'd been on board the Justice League's space station. He sighed and approached one of the consoles. This was really more Richie's area of expertise, but, it wasn't like he was a complete idiot with computers.
Virgil started pushing a few of the buttons, trying to figure out how to get someone on speaker. There had to be SOMEONE flying this ship or at least ON the ship aside from himself and the other people sleeping (or was it frozen) in the other room? It took him a few minutes, but finally Virgil managed to get the computer to do what he wanted: communicate with others on the ship. It actually made him grin and he started speaking to the computer hoping SOMEONE was on this ship. 'I really don't want to spend my time talking to myself,' he thought.
